Karen Cardozo's Visit to WVU, March 2017

Karen Cardozo, Assistant Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), where she coordinates Women’s Studies and Leadership Studies programs, visited WVU on March 23-24, 2017.

On March 23 Dr. Cardozo's gave a  public lecture, Behaving Badly, Balancing Gladly: Women, Work and Life in the Wild New World. This was the inaugural Seehra Lecture, a lecture series endowed by Eberly Family Distinguished Professor of Physics Mohindar Seehra for the professional development of women, sponsored by the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies, Department of English, Department of History and the Office of Graduate Education and Life.

In her workshops on March 24 she continued to revisit the perennial question of whether women can “have it all,” through recent feminist scholarship and the burgeoning literature on the changing world of work.
