LGBTQ Studies Minor

The minor in LGBTQ Studies will critically examine the relationship between queer sexual and gender identities, experiences, cultures, and communities in a wide range of historical and political contexts, and investigate the intersections with other social categories, such as race, ethnicity, gender, class, and nationality.

  • WGST 340: Gender and Violence
  • WGST 448: Sexuality in American Culture
  • Upper-division hours may include no more than six hours from the same department (WGST courses excepted)
  • Maximum of 1 intermediate course (3 hrs.)
  • 12 of the 15 credits must be unique to the minor
