- Inclusive pedagogies: Integrating feminism and gender theory with science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education and innovation, entrepreneurship and design
- Faculty development: Designing effective mentorship programs and using facilitation to build inclusive department decision making processes
- Feminist science studies: Representations of science in science fiction film and literature and gendered constructions of knowledge about animal behavior research
- 5.5 million dollars in National Science Foundation (NSF) funding to develop inclusive institutions for faculty and students including an ADVANCE Institutional Transformation Award to recruit, retain and promote women faculty; and awards to develop a Nanosystems minor, design and run workshops on inclusive teaching for undergraduate faculty, and recruit science and math majors to become middle and high school teachers in WV.
