Valerie (Val) Adkins (they/she) is an Advanced-Standing Master of Social Work student at West Virginia University. Val earned simultaneous Bachelor degrees in Social Work (BSW) and Women’s and Gender Studies (BA) from WVU in 2025. Val’s passions include LGBTQIA2s+ advocacy, social justice, and mental health awareness. Val is a fan of Arcane, Frank Iero, and strawberry-themed decor. When Val is not teaching, they are working on course work, hanging out with their roommate, or interning at the Project Rainbow.
